Rules

  1. AQHA rules apply
  2. Entries open at 8:00a CDT June 8, 2020 and close June 14 11:59p CDT
  3. Patterns will be posted June 15th
  4. All Videos for and picture submissions must be submitted by 5:00p CDT June 20th
  5. For ridden classes, separate videos must be taken. The same video may not be submitted for different divisions of the same class
  6. Classes are limited to 30 entries each.
  7. Only 1 entry/class/exhibitor
  8. Open to Manitoba residents only
  9. Videos and pictures must not be edited in any way and must be a continuous shot. Editing will result in immediate disqualification.
  10. No cross entry between open showmanship and 4-H showmanship
  11. No cross entry between walk trot and any other ridden class
  12. Juniors - 12 & under as of January 1 of current year
  13. Intermediate 13 - 18 as of January 1 of current year
  14. Senior 19 and over as of January 1 of current year
  15. Entry and membership fees are non-refundable.
  16. In Western classes – exhibitors should dress in western wear - a long sleeve collared shirt, trousers or jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hat or helmet.
  17. In English classes – exhibitors should wear a long sleeved collared shirt and breeches. Breeches are to be of traditional shades khaki, canary, light grey, or rust (or jodhpurs), with high English boots or paddock (jodhpur) boots of black or brown. Black, navy blue or brown hard hat is mandatory.
  18. A rider may ride two handed on a junior horse 4 and under
  19. The decisions of each judge is final
  20. The North Norfolk and District Ag Society have the rights to change or alter rules when deemed necessary
  21. All breeds of horses and ponies may compete
  22. All riders under 18 are encouraged to wear a helmet for their safety.
  23. Each video should only include one “entry” for a single class
  24. Video entries must be taped during the posted show dates and submitted by the posted deadline. Failure to do so is grounds for disqualification.
  25. In showmanship classes a 2nd person will need to act as an inspector
  26. No coaching from the sidelines
